Golden Eagles Girls
Golden Eagles Girls were officially formed in January 2010. The team originated from an FA Skills Development Centre that started in September 2009. There are currently 13 girls that make up the team. In September 2010, the girls entered into their debut season in the South Chiltern Minor League, Under 13 Girls, 7 a side league, which is based over in Reading. At the time of writing the girls were on course to win the league and cup double having only lost 1 game( which was the first game of the season) out of 11 games, so far. The team are proud to be sponsored by Langley 24 Hour Glazing and are currently the only girls team in the town of Slough. Golden Eagles Football Club is a Charter Standard Football Club which is accredited by the English Football Association.
Jason Elwell, Manager Golden Eagles Girls
Jason (Jay) is the Manager of the Golden Eagles Girls team. He is a Full Time Sports Development Coach based at Marish Primary School in Langley. He specialises and is qualified in Football and Athletics. He is the Chairman of the Slough Local Football Partnership (www.sloughlfp.co.uk) and also organises and runs The Slough Primary Schools Football League which has 29 primary schools playing competitive football. He has previously coached at the International School of London, coaching Boys and Girls senior teams as well as their Junior teams, all of which won honours on the International Schools Circuit in his 5 years there. He also had a spell at Queens Park Rangers Football in the Community as well as some experience in their academy as well. He has strong links with the Berks and Bucks Football Association and with them helps develop school and club links in the Slough Area. His philosophy and passion is the development of football players. Jay has managed at Golden Eagles for 4 years where he also co- manages a Under 13 boys team.
